First Unitarian Church to look at Halloween

"Boo: A Fifty Year Retrospective" will be presented by the Rev. Tom Goldsmith at the Sunday, Oct. 31 services at the First Unitarian Church of Salt Lake, 569 S. 1300 East.

Services will be 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Catholic Women's League to meet

SALT LAKE CITY — The Catholic Women's League will meet Friday, Nov. 5, at 12:10 p.m. for First Friday Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 170 S. University.

A prayer for the rosary will follow Mass. The public is welcome.

Church Women to meet twice in November

Church Women United in Utah will meet twice in November, first in Salt Lake and then in Marriott-Slaterville.

They will gather in Friday, Nov. 5, 9:30 a.m., at Wasatch Presbyterian Church, 1626 S. 1700 East, Salt Lake City. Registration is $1 and lunch will cost $4.

They will also meet on Saturday, Nov. 6, 9:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 1339 W. 400 North, Marriott-Slaterville. Registration is $3.

Exhibit of spiritual art in Springville

SPRINGVILLE — The 25th annual "Spiritual and Religious Art of Utah" exhibition will be on display through Dec. 28 at the Springville Museum of Art, 126 E. 400 South, Springville.

Since 1986, the Springville Museum of Art has hosted this annual exhibition, which focuses on art that represents myriad aspects of belief and faith.

'Holiday Bells' to ring on Temple Square

Ring in the holiday season with the Bells on Temple Square as they present their "Holiday Bells" concert on Friday, Nov. 19, 2010 at 7:30 p.m., in the Tabernacle on Temple Square.

This year's program features the 28-member Bells on Temple Square bell choir conducted by Tom Waldron. Leanna Willmore, assistant conductor for the bell choir will also lead the ensemble for several songs on the program.

The evening will also include performances by instrumental ensembles comprised of members of the Orchestra at Temple Square and Temple Square organists, Bonnie Goodliffe and Linda Margetts. With a touch of Bach and Holst, a dollop of American folksong, and a dose of holiday standards, "Holiday Bells!" will combine music from around the world to enchant delighted audience members and welcome in the Christmas season.

LDS Church to hold Christmas Devotional

The First Presidency Christmas Devotional for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will feature the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the Orchestra at Temple Square, on Sunday, Dec. 5, 6 p.m. at the Conference Center.

Members of the First Presidency will be the speakers.

Free tickets are required for the First Presidency Christmas Devotional. Due to the very high demand, tickets have been distributed through a random selection process.

Archuleta to perform with Tabernacle Choir

David Archuleta will join the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square for their annual Christmas concerts on Temple Square, Dec. 16-18.

The concerts will be presented on Thursday, Dec. 16, 8 p.m. (dress rehearsal) and Friday and Saturday, Dec. 17–18, 7:30 p.m.

On Sunday, Dec. 19, the choir's weekly Music and the Spoken Word broadcast will also feature Archuleta with a mini-concert immediately following.

All the concerts will be held in the Conference Center.
