Organizers of the Swing-for-Life Hit-a-thon would like to honor any and all cancer survivors. The annual event, now in its fifth year, allows high school students to raise money for the Huntsman Cancer Institute through a hit-a-thon Saturday at the Cottonwood Complex.

At 1:30 p.m., teams will be officially welcomed to the event with an opening ceremony that honors cancer survivors. Anyone who is a cancer survivor is invited to attend the ceremony and organizers will honor them with pink roses and a special tribute. Immediately following the tribute, there will be an introduction of teams and then a softball game between the media and prep softball coaches.

Those with questions can call founder/organizer Kathy Howa at 971-0754.
