Local nonprofit groups are asking people to donate career clothing to help low-income women seeking better jobs that require professional attire.

The clothing may be dropped off Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Hotel Monaco, 15 W. 200 South.

Hotel Monaco and the Junior League of Salt Lake City are coordinating the event. The beneficiaries are the Junior League and Dress for Success, a nonprofit that provides clothing and career support for low-income women.

The following items are needed: Women's business attire in all sizes, new bras, new underwear, new hosiery, makeup, purses and briefcases, belts and accessories, cash donations and gift cards of at least $15 to retailers such as Target, Ross and T.J. Maxx.

People who donate could win raffle prizes, such as an American Airlines round-trip airfare for two.
