Recently the South Salt Lake City Council decided to block off Truman Avenue from State Street so that Hinckley Dodge can expand its business. While I know that this was a complicated decision for the city to make, I feel bad for my aunt and uncle who have lived in their home for more than 30 years and are now forced to leave. I know this will decrease traffic on Truman Avenue, but it will also increase traffic on neighboring streets. My aunt and uncle will now have to walk away from many special memories as their home will be destroyed. I wish there were some other way to make this work.
