People who pledge allegiance to our flag and to the republic for which it stands and then violate speed limits stand in danger of branding themselves hypocrites.

In a republic the voters elect representatives who create the laws. If those legislators decide, after study, that 65 miles per hour is a reasonable maximum speed, the republic has spoken. When drivers then choose to flaunt the law they are, by their actions, pledging allegiance to anarchy, not to a republic.
