LAS VEGAS — Dee Brown and Brandon Wood belted back-to-back homers to open up a seven-run fourth inning, as the Salt Lake Bees cruised to a 12-5 win over the Las Vegas 51s on Friday night.

The Bees led 1-0 when Brown led off the fourth with a shot to right on a 2-2 pitch off of Las Vegas starter Jason Johnson and Wood drilled a 1-0 delivery over the left field wall to make it 3-0. Brown would later add a run scoring single to cap off the seven-run frame.

Nick Adenhart (1-0) picked up the win, as he worked five innings and allowed no runs on three hits with two strikeouts and two walks.

Leadoff hitter Brad Coon had four hits and scored three runs, while Matt Brown had his second straight three hit game, which included a solo home run.

Sean Rodriguez also homered for Salt Lake, and Bobby Wilson added three hits including a pair of RBI doubles.
