Now: In his 9th year in the NBA, averaging 17 points and 7 assists for the Philadelphia 76ers

HANNO MOTTOLA, 6-10 sophomore forward

Then: Started every game and averaged 12.5 points and 5.3 rebounds

Now: Playing professional basketball in Greece, reportedly considering retirement after this year.

ALEX JENSEN, 6-7 sophomore forward

Then: All-around player, second in rebounds and assists, third in steals and fourth in scoring.

Now: After playing in professional basketball in Europe for the previous seven years, assisted on Rick Majerus' staff at Saint Louis University

DREW HANSEN, 6-5 senior guard

Then: Led team in 3-pointers made and 3-point percentage, defensive stopper

Now: Works as an attorney with his own firm in Orange County, Calif.

TRACE CATON, 6-4, freshman guard

Then: Played in every game, averaging 4.0 ppg in 14 minutes per game

Now: A third-year student at the University of Utah Medical School

BRITTON JOHNSEN, 6-9, freshman forward

Then: Missed 13 games early in the year because of injury, averaged 3.5 points 1.6 rebounds

Now: Playing professional basketball in Turkey on same team as former Jazzman Dee Brown.

DAVID JACKSON, 6-3, sophomore guard

Then: Averaged 3.3 points as backup guard in 32 games.

Now: After transferring to Oregon and playing professionally in Europe, Korea and the CBA for six years, this season averaged 21 points in the Chinese League.

Jordie McTavish, 6-0, sophomore guard

Then: Played in every game as Miller's backup, averaging 2.7 points

Now: Teaches high school and coaches basketball in Canada.

JON CARLISLE, 6-9, freshman center

Then: Played in 30 games, averaged 2.4 ppg and 2.1 rpg.

Now: Went on an LDS mission, returned to play for BYU, but career was cut short by health problems.

Nate Althoff, 6-11, freshman center

Then: Played sparingly, 5 minutes per game in 17 games with 1.8 ppg average.

Now: Works as a Web site developer for a marketing company in Fargo, N.D.

Greg Barratt, 6-8, freshman forward

Then: Only played in 15 games, averaging 1.8 ppg in 7 minutes per game

Now: Completed his career at Cornell, now lives in Park City where he works as a commerical investment banker.


Rick Majerus, head coach at Utah from 1989-2004 with 323-95 record

Now: Just finished his first year as the head coach at Saint Louis University with a 16-15 record after working as an ESPN analyst for three years

Donny Daniels, assistant coach at Utah from 1989-2000

Now: After leaving to be the Cal State Fullerton head coach, has been an assistant coach for Ben Howland at UCLA, which has just made it to the Final Four for the third straight year.

Jeff Judkins, assistant coach at Utah from 1989-99

Now: After serving as Director of Basketball Operations for BYU men's team, has been the women's basketball coach for the past 6 years.

Brock Brunkhorst, assistant coach at Utah from 1997-99 Went back to work with his father in the construction business in Phoenix after leaving Utah following the 1998-99 season.
