E-commerce company iMergent Inc. has settled a dispute with the Connecticut attorney general's office regarding the company's software and sales representations.
The settlement does not affect the Orem-based company's continued operations in Connecticut.
The attorney general's office had received 14 complaints from customers since the beginning of 2006. The settlement, which is without an admission of liability, includes iMergent refunding certain customers a total of $65,000.
The company also will pay the state's costs of about the same amount. IMergent also has agreed to make certain disclosures regarding the software sold and certain disclosures related to sales representations made by the company.
