A Salt Lake City couple was charged with multiple felonies Tuesday in connection with the disappearance of more than $100,000 in personal property from an east bench home between late November 2007 and early February of this year while the owner was out of town.
Court documents say that neighbors saw the man and woman removing property from the home and loading it into various vehicles, including a rented moving truck. A Porsche automobile and Ducati motorcycle were among the missing items.
Missing property, including the motorcycle, was found in a storage locker that the defendants had access to and a search warrant found light fixtures belonging to the victim installed in the defendants' home.
The victim's neighbors told police that they took down the license plate numbers of the vehicles used to remove property, even though the man and woman waved at them.
