I just saw the movie "The Great Debaters" with Denzel Washington, and what a powerful movie it is. It should be required viewing of all high school and college students and their instructors. What a great educational documentary, filmed largely on the campus of Wiley College in Marshall, Texas, portraying the racial tensions and lynchings in the South in 1935.

I understand that Washington donated a million dollars to Wiley College to start up the debate club again. The movie and the presidential debates of today should encourage more of this kind of exchange in our schools and universities.
