Alice Carter of Skyline High and Daniel Posch of Waterford School have won $2,000 college scholarships from the Siemens Awards for Advanced Placement.

The students received the highest number of 5s — the highest possible mark — on AP Biology, Calculus BC, Chemistry, Computer Science AB, Environmental Science, Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism, Physics C: Mechanics, and Statistics.

Bountiful High teacher Kimberly Knight won the $1,000 teacher's award, and West High won the high school award and $1,000 grant.

The awards are a part of the Siemens Foundation programs, which aim to nurture tomorrow's scientists and engineers.
