LEHI (AP) — A Lehi dirt-bike dealer is under fire for what city officials call a noisy, dusty business and an illegal motocross track next to his store.

The Lehi Police Department cited Gary Powell for violating city ordinances. They say he's permitting a nuisance on his property. Nearby business owners have complained that Powell's A-1 Garage Doors and Holeshot Cycles are unsightly and loud.

City officials are now looking into whether the one-acre motocross track next to the store needs to move. City planner Christie Hutchings says it must be put on land zoned for industrial use and meet the approval of the Lehi Planning Commission.

Mayor Howard Johnson says he plans to talk with Powell and research the situation before making a determination.
