Clinton Ray Miller's ridiculous comment (Readers' Forum, March 24) seems to reflect the paranoia of all too many Utahns. Developing nuclear power plants does not automatically make Utah the dumping ground for nuclear waste. France and Great Britain safely operate many such plants. Chernobyl would not have happened with proper design and management. The sooner we recognize that this source is the only one capable of supplying our appetite for massive, reliable amounts of power, the sooner we can throw off the chains that bind us to nations that want to destroy us.
