MURRAY Police were looking for a group of juveniles Monday afternoon seen in the area of where a fire started along the Jordan Parkway.
About 12:30 p.m., a brush fire was started in tall, thick grass along the parkway near 5000 South, said Murray Deputy Fire Marshall Russ Groves. Several people saw a group of older juveniles in the area just prior to when the fire started, he said.
The blaze scorched about a half-acre of brush and trees. No structures were threatened, Groves said. Firefighters from Murray, Unified Fire Authority and Midvale responded and had the fire under control within 10 minutes, he said.
