Two men hospitalized in separate attacks over the weekend in Salt Lake City have had their conditions upgraded.
A 30-year-old man was shot in the head outside Club Manhattan , 5 E. 400 South, early Saturday. He was taken to University Hospital in extremely critical condition but later "upgraded," according to Salt Lake police. The search for a suspect continued Monday.
Just about 24 hours later in an unrelated incident, police were called to a large fight near 300 East and 1400 South. The victim had kicked the door of his sister's boyfriend's car, according to police. The boyfriend drove away and returned with three car loads of friends.
The victim was knocked unconscious with a baseball bat and left lying in the street. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition but later upgraded to serious but stable.
All three suspect vehicles were located in the Glendale area, according to police. Gang detectives were investigating several people.
