FARMINGTON — Utah Highway Patrol troopers are questioning the driver of a construction vehicle believed to have been involved in a load spill that damaged 15 cars.

Troopers said a truck lost chunks of asphalt and rock on southbound I-15 near Glover Lane, which hit the cars as they were traveling about 4:50 a.m. Thursday. No one was injured, but troopers said the cars suffered damage to their undercarriages and bodies.

"They got a tip from a witness that's led them to a truck and they're looking to see if it's lost the debris," UHP trooper Cameron Roden said Thursday.

The driver of the truck will most likely be cited for failure to secure a load.
