Barack Obama's response to recent criticism about his religion immediately makes me think of the way Mitt Romney handled it. After the story started going around about Obama's pastor, he threw him under the bus by kicking him off his African American Religious Leadership Committee and publicly denouncing his friend and religious leader of 20 years.

Through all of Romney's campaign, he never once apologized for his faith no matter how disgusted the public was with it.

Obama claims he heard about the radical sermons given by the Rev. Jeremiah Wright at the beginning of his presidential campaign last year. Even if this were true, why wait until now to kick him off his African American Religious Leadership Committee and denounce him?

If he's so "pained and angered" (his words) by his pastor's hateful words, why didn't he address it then? Personally, I think he agrees with his pastor.
