COLUMBUS, Ohio — Raymond Philyaw threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Robert Redd late in the game and the Cleveland Gladiators held on to beat the Columbus Destroyers 59-57 on Saturday night.

Philyaw finished 19-of-28 for 209 yards and five touchdowns, and Redd had seven catches for 74 yards and two touchdowns for the Gladiators (3-0).

Matt Nagy connected with Derek Lee on a 33-yard score, but Columbus (0-3) failed on the 2-point conversion. The Gladiators recovered the onside kick with 20 seconds left, preserving the victory.

Nagy was 24-of-35 for 351 yards and seven touchdowns, and Derek Lee had 11 catches for 171 yards.

FORCE ROUT AVENGERS: At Atlanta, Chris Greisen threw seven touchdown passes, including three to Troy Bergeron, and the Georgia Force cruised past the Los Angeles Avengers 58-34 on Saturday night.

Greisen was 26-of-41 for 366 yards, Bergeron had seven catches for 151 yards and newly acquired Charles Pauley added 10 receptions for 134 yards and two scores for the Force (1-2).

Sonny Cumbie was 20-of-38 for 317 yards and five touchdowns, and Timon Marshall had nine catches for 172 yards and two touchdowns for the Avengers (2-1).
