MEN'S TENNIS: For the second time in as many weeks, the Cougars won both of their Friday matches, this time over Pacific and Portland. The afternoon started with a 5-2 win over Pacific, followed by a comfortable 6-1 win over Portland. The Cougars improve to 10-5 on the season and remain undefeated at home.

INDOOR TRACK/FIELD: The Cougars had five All-Americans after the first day of events.

The BYU women's distance medley relay team ran a fifth-place time of 11:10.96, and pole vaulter Matt Weirich cleared 17-4 1/2 for a seventh-place finish. Also, Keith Jensen, a BYU 800-meter runner, qualified for the finals with a time of 1:49.89.

BASEBALL: Host San Diego State defeated BYU, 13-6, on Saturday to complete a three-game sweep over the Cougars (7-10). On Friday, the Cougars lost 6-5.

SOFTBALL: With a two-run homer, freshman Jessica Purcell led the BYU women's softball team to a 2-1 win over Nebraska at the UNLV Round Robin on Saturday.

Freshman pitcher Paige Affleck improved to 4-2 on the season, giving up three hits and one unearned run in the complete game for the Cougars (13-11).
