Will Carlson's letter ("Only Demos held accountable," Readers' Forum, March 13) is factually incorrect as to accountability. Rep. Mark Foley, R-Ohio, resigned over improper behavior with House male pages in 2006. Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., who is gay, had a roommate caught running a male dating service from their apartment. Frank remained in office and is a committee chairman.

The Readers' Forum editors should not be publishing letters from people who make statements with factual errors in them. Especially if the "facts" are in the public domain and easily accessible. As to Mr. Carlson, he should be "held accountable" for his lack of veracity by being denied further publication.
