NORTH SALT LAKE — A couple accused of failing to file as well as filing bogus tax returns has been ordered to pay more than $41,000.

Leslie and Sarah Sadler pleaded guilty to charges of failing to file tax returns and theft by deception, both third-degree felonies. The Utah Attorney General's Office said in a statement Wednesday a judge in Salt Lake City's 3rd District Court ordered the couple to pay the restitution, rejecting their claim that the state made a mathematical error on how much was due.
