Well, another Utah legislative session has come to a close. And what have our elected officials accomplished? They have usurped (or tried to usurp) power from cities, counties, the governor and every citizen of Utah. They have written bills designed to financially benefit their personal friends and business colleagues, while introducing other bills that punish those who oppose them. They have laid bare their prejudice and homophobia. And all this while ignoring some of the main issues affecting everyday Utahns.

I have to ask: Why on Earth are these same people sent back to Capitol Hill each year? Rubber-stamping the same names into office without thought to their actual performance is truly a lazy way to vote and only enables these politicians' abuse of their power.
