Present anti-illegal legislation is violating the constitutional mandate of "establishing justice" as written in the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States. Justice is the will to protect the common good and the individual rights under the guidance of right reason, equality, proportion and fairness. Fairness requires taking into consideration the special circumstances of each particular case. In the case of undocumented immigrants, the special circumstances are being totally ignored.

Longtime taxpaying, undocumented immigrants should be given some kind of legal status at no cost or penalty. Longtime undocumented immigrants who have not paid income taxes should be given some kind of legal status after paying a reasonable fine and back taxes.

Undocumented immigrants who entered this country after 2005 have no legal rights whatsoever and should be dealt with accordingly.
