My heart literally stopped beating when I heard the news of Craig Jessop's resignation as music director of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Certainly this cannot be. I have had the honor and pleasure of working with Craig and the magnificent choir for three Christmas programs now and can testify of his strength, spirituality, artistic vision and leadership. He has brought the Mormon Tabernacle Choir to such greatness that it is now known as "America's Choir" — dubbed such by President Ronald Reagan. Through his willingness and effort to tour the choir nationally and abroad, he has opened a number of closed doors and dispelled many damaging myths about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Thank you, Craig, for your unselfish service, unsurpassed quality of work and the beauty you have spread throughout the world. I am selfishly heartbroken. I wish you and your family the very best with your future plans.
