WASHINGTON CITY — Authorities have cancelled an endangered persons advisory for a missing southern Utah woman suffering from Alzheimer's disease.

Washington police said someone who noticed the alert spotted 73-year-old Merle Fowles and notified authorites, who returned her to her family on Wednesday. She is OK, Lt. Ed Kantor said.

Fowles disappeared early Tuesday morning, and concerns were raised because she suffers from Alzheimer's. Authorities said she was found in Washington City without any problems.
