HILL AIR FORCE BASE — Airplane Talk, a program about pilots and airplanes, opens its 2008 season with five talks in March in the Hill Aerospace Museum.

The programs are free to the public. Dates and speakers are:

• Saturday — Albert Alvey, Bountiful, will relate his experiences as a Navy pilot on the carriers Kitty Hawk, Enterprise and Lexington. From 1981-83 Alvey flew A-4 Skyhawks and A-5Es.

• March 15 — Haven Burningham, Bountiful, will discuss his experiences as a B-17 pilot during World War II. He flew with the 457th Division of the 8th Air Force in 1943, flying 30 combat missions.

• March 22 — Tom Pratt, Bountiful, will discuss his experiences with the F-105 he flew with the 419th Fighter Wing from 1971-83.

• March 29 — John Rencher, Holladay, will discuss his experiences in several aircraft. He flew the B-25, B-36 and B-47 with the 341st Bomb Wing.
