The Sun & Moon Cafe, 5195 Emigration Canyon, is hosting a live performance by the Chris Duarte Group March 17 and 18, beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $22 per person, per night. Dinner can be ordered at menu prices (583-8331).

Rumbi Island Grill is introducing Caribbean Chicken and Shrimp to its menu as a new dinner item. The shrimp is sauteed with blackening spices, garlic and a margarita mix, then poured over the grilled chicken. It's topped with pineapple salsa and mango dressing. It is served on a bed of rice with a Caesar salad.

Established in 2000 in Salt Lake City, the chain has grown to 23 outlets in Utah, Colorado and Arizona.

Mimi's Cafe, 5223 S. State, is highlighting seafood through May 21. This is the second year that the upscale casual dining restaurant chain has offered seasonal specials such as Shrimp, Artichoke & Feta Omelette, Salmon Nicoise Salad, Orange Chile Glazed Shrimp and Seafood Fettuccine. They range from $7.99 to $14.99.

Art & Soup Celebration is March 19 and 20 at the Sheraton City Centre, 150 W. 500 South. The public is invited to come for lunch or dinner, view artwork from more than 40 artists while sampling soup from more than 20 restaurants and food purveyors.

Participants include Blue Boar Inn, Boulevard, Cakes De Fleur, Cookietree Bakeries, Good Day Bakery & Catering, Grounds for Coffee, Harmon's Deli in Draper, Les Madeleines Patisserie & Cafe, High Rock Steakhouse, Hopper's Seafood & Grill, Lugano Restaurant, Madeline's Steakhouse & Grill, Mama's Plantation, Pierre Country Bakery, Radda Caffe, Red Rock junction, Utah Food services, Caffe Molise, Silver Fork Lodge, Biaggi's Ristorante Italiano, Olio Ristorante, Paradise Bakery & Cafe, and Rico Mexican Delicatessen & Catering.
