Salt Lake homicide detectives were investigating a suspicious death Monday but had few details to release.

About 10:20 a.m., a person walking down an alley near 300 West and 900 South, near Trails Men's Club, spotted what he thought was a body, said Salt Lake police detective Robert Eldard.

Officers arrived a short time later and called homicide detectives after noting some type of trauma on the body, he said.

Investigators Monday released little other information except the body was that of a male. They did not say what kind of trauma, what the man was wearing or if he had any identification on him.

Anyone with information on the man can call police at 799-3000.
