The Salt Lake Main Library's Technology Center offers a variety of free training workshops. Registration is required for most classes and begins one week prior to each class. Call 524-8290 for more information.

"Introduction to the Internet," a three-part course, has classes today through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon. An "Internet Basics" class is Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m.

"Introduction to Microsoft Excel" classes are on Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon and March 18 from 6 to 8 p.m.

A "Computer Basics" class is offered for people with little or no computer background on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

"Introduction to PowerPoint" has two sessions, March 10 and 11 from 2 to 4 p.m.

"Enjoying Free Wireless," a class is provided by X-Mission, will run from 2 to 3 p.m. March 12. And "Basic Mouse Skills" will run from 2 to 3 p.m. March 14.
