MAGNA — The Empress Theatre will have auditions for its "One Act Festival" and "The Foreigner," March 4 and 6.

Auditions for the inaugural "One Act Festival," featuring award-winning scripts by local high school playwrights, will be Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon at the theatre, 9104 W. 2700 South.

Roles will be available for all ages. Directors are looking for people aged 14 and up and are asking them to prepare to do cold readings from the script. Performances will be April 18-26 on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Auditions for Larry Shue's comedy, "The Foreigner," will be on March 4 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the theater. Parts are available for five men and two women ages 15 to 80. Directors are asking people to prepare to do cold readings from the script. Performances will be May 9 to June 9 on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays with Saturday matinees.
