STOCKTON, Calif. — The Utah Grizzlies (30-22-0-5) tied a team record Friday with their eighth-straight road win after a 3-1 win over Stockton.

The Grizzles got off to a fast start converting on the power play just 2:55 into the game when Keith Johnson scored his 25th goal of the year, knocking in a loose rebound in front of the net. Just under two minutes later the Grizzlies struck again with Ryan Kinasewich putting home a loose puck in the slot for his 15th of the year.

Later in the first the Grizzlies opened up the scoring even more when Sanford threw in the puck from the right circle and connected for his eighth of the year.

Nathan Lawson was solid in net, just letting one squeak by and stopping 30.

Prior to the game, Utah coach Jason Christie announced that goaltender Mike Mole has been recalled to the Grizzlies and Islanders AHL affiliate in Bridgeport for the third time this year.
