An 18-year-old man has been charged in the stabbing of two people at a South Salt Lake apartment Saturday.

Police say all three people had been drinking at Mountain Shadows Apartments, 3793 S. 700 East, and started arguing Saturday night. That's when the man pulled out a knife and started stabbing the other two, according to charges filed Tuesday in 3rd District Court.

Officers found one victim walking through the complex and the other on the floor of the apartment. Both were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. A man was later arrested.

The man faces one count of aggravated assault, a third-degree felony, and one count of consumption of alcohol by a minor, a class B misdemeanor.
