Approximately 200 members of the 2nd Battalion of the Utah Army National Guard's 211th Army Aviation Regiment will leave Utah Wednesday on

the first leg of a 12-month deployment to Iraq.

From Utah the 211th Aviation will travel to Fort Sill, Okla., for several weeks of specialized training before heading overseas.

Their primary mission will be air movement of distinguished visitors, as well as movement of equipment and personnel throughout the Middle East.

A departure ceremony is scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Utah Air National Guard Base on the east side of the Salt Lake International Airport.
