Paul Pierce scored 35 points, Ray Allen had 19, and Rajon Rondo had 12 assists and 11 rebounds Sunday and Boston beat San Antonio 98-90. The Celtics improved to 5-2 since Kevin Garnett went out with an abdominal strain. The Celtics hadn't beaten San Antonio in Boston since Jan. 8, 1997, a streak of nine consecutive losses.
