COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — SLCC's highly ranked team defense came up big yet again for the No. 5 Bruins, who held North Idaho to 28-percent shooting in a 62-48 road victory Saturday. SLCC, ranked second nationally in points allowed, also beat NIC on Friday, edging the Cardinals 76-72 in overtime.

DaVell Jackson had a big weekend for SLCC, scoring a team-best 15 Saturday after amassing 24 points, seven assists and five rebounds in the OT contest. Brian Green combined for 31 points in the two wins. Center Papa Samba Guisse had a big game Saturday, finishing with 10 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two blocks.

SLCC, which hosts Colorado Northwestern this upcoming weekend, improved to 23-1 overall and 8-1 in SWAC play.

CSI 108, CEU 102 (OT): Darington Hobson had a huge outing against the other Golden Eagles, scoring a school-record 46 points and nearly leading CEU to an upset victory over the NJCAA's top-ranked team.

Hobson shot 15-for-34 from the field, but he only sank 16 of 28 free throws. He scored 37 points in CEU's 99-89 loss to CSI on Friday.

SNOW 92, CNCC 84: Ryan Brimley scored 33 points and Rory Patterson poured in 30 points and the pair combined to drain a dozen 3-pointers in leading the hot-shooting Badgers over Colorado Northwestern. Snow hit 60 percent of its shots in the win.

The Badgers bounced back after Friday's 81-75 loss to the Spartans despite 22 points from Patterson.
