FARMINGTON — A Layton man accused of shaking his baby to death has pleaded guilty to a child abuse homicide charge.

Brad Crook, 30, pleaded guilty to the second-degree felony during an appearance in 2nd District Court on Tuesday. Court records show Crook is scheduled to be sentenced on March 25.

Crook was arrested in April 2007 after police responded to a house where an infant wasn't breathing. The boy was taken to Primary Children's Medical Center, where he later died from injuries that doctors said were consistent with shaken baby syndrome.
