The body of a woman was found floating in the Jordan River Wednesday afternoon.

Salt Lake City police said juveniles found the woman floating near 1200 W. 200 North around 3:30 p.m. Police and firefighters pulled the body from the river.

The woman has not been identified, said Lt. C.T. Smith. The woman was Caucasian, possibly in her 20s.

"There were no obvious signs of foul play or what caused her death," Smith said.

Police are working to identify the woman as they await the results of an autopsy.
