LOGAN — Western Athletic Conference commissioner Karl Benson announced Monday that Utah State will host UC Santa Barbara of the Big West Conference on Feb. 22 as part of ESPN's BracketBuster television lineup.

It is one of three WAC games — Siena at Boise State and Nevada at Southern Illinois — that will be televised. Game time and which ESPN station have yet to be announced.

"Santa Barbara is one of the favorites to win the Big West Conference and they are right there," USU coach Stew Morrill said. "We are very familiar with their program and their system."

The Aggies (16-6) hold an all-time record of 36-22 over the Gauchos (16-5), while they are 10-4 under head coach Stew Morrill.

The two teams have not played since Utah State left the Big West after the 2004-05 season.

Utah State has won four straight games over the Guachos and haven't lost to UCSB in the Smith Spectrum since losing 66-65 in overtime on Jan. 16, 1999.

The Aggies are 2-0 all-time in BracketBuster events. They beat Oral Roberts 71-65 last season in Tulsa, and they beat Northwestern State in Logan 66-63 in 2006.
