Salt Lake police Thursday asked for the public's help in finding three men responsible for at least two recent armed robberies at Hispanic businesses.

On Monday, a trio walked into La Pinata Imports, 360 S. Concord (1250 West). One pulled out a handgun and demanded money. The trio left with an undisclosed amount of cash, clothing and jewelry, said Salt Lake police detective Jared Wihongi.

Investigators believe the same three men robbed La Michoacana, 449 W. 800 South, on Jan. 25.

On that same day, La Authentica, 2717 S. Redwood Road, was robbed by a lone armed man who had a similar description to the men in Salt Lake's armed robberies. Investigators are unsure if the West Valley and Salt Lake incidents are connected.

Anyone with information on any of the robberies can call police at 799-INFO (4636). Callers with information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible could be eligible for a cash reward. All callers can remain anonymous.
