I had the opportunity to visit the Conference Center where President Hinckley lay in the Hall of the Prophets. What a unique experience it was to view the busts of past presidents of the church and then to see the last, lying in his casket. Emotions ran powerfully through me as I paid honor to a man who honored me and millions around the world.

The reverence of the scene touched a chord with me and I began to appreciate the value of a viewing for the dead. When the viewing is placed in a room providing respect and peace for the body of the deceased, I find myself elevated in my love and honor for the passed individual.
