Murray senior lineman Zach Brackus will be a part of Southern Utah's rebuilding process, as he made a verbal commitment to play for the Thunderbirds earlier this week.
Brackus, a two-way player for the Spartans, made a recruiting trip to SUU last weekend and liked what he saw. The 6-foot-5, 295-pound lineman will play offensive tackle for the Thunderbirds.
Brackus was offered "preferred walk-on status" by Utah State, and was also considering playing at Snow College before choosing to play at SUU.
"I really like the coaches and I felt like I just wanted to go down there," Brackus said. "He's a good kid," said Murray coach Dan Aragon. "He's a steal for them."
