An 87-year-old Logan woman died after wandering away from the assisted living center where she lived Thursday afternoon.
May Twedt, who reportedly suffered from dementia, was wearing thin clothing and was found around 4:45 p.m. The woman was lying in 2 feet of snow about 150 yards from the center, according to a statement from the Logan Police Department.
Medical workers tried unsuccessfully to revive her.
Temperatures were in the low 20s Thursday afternoon in Logan and a light snow was falling, officials said.
Twedt reportedly left the center sometime between 1 and 3 p.m. She had been reported missing at about 3:40 p.m.
