Salt Lake-based Paradigm Medical Industries Inc. has settled the last of several lawsuits it had faced.

The company reached an out-of-court settlement with a former consultant, Larry Hicks, whose lawsuit accused the company of breaking a contract agreement concerning his employment. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

"There was a time in 2003 when we had six lawsuits against us that we were dealing with," said the company's CEO Raymond Cannefax.

In 2006, the company resolved two lawsuits filed by its former executives, through summary judgements in favor of the company. In 2005, it settled several class-action lawsuits outside of court.
