Convergys Corp., a Cincinnati-based company with about 6,550 workers at five call centers in Utah, on Tuesday reported net income of $45.3 million, or 34 cents per share, for the fourth quarter of 2007. That compares with $44.5 million, or 32 cents per share, for the same quarter in 2006.

Revenues totaled $713.7 million, down from $720 million.

For the full year 2007, Convergys reported net income of $169.5 million, or $1.23 per share, on company-record revenues of $2.84 billion. That compares with net income of $166.2 million, or $1.17 per share, on revenues of $2.79 billion in 2006.

The company has about 75,000 employees at 84 customer contact centers and other facilities worldwide.

Convergys stock rose 92 cents Tuesday to close at $15.22. During the past year, the price has ranged from $13.81 to $27.26.
