OGDEN — Authorities are battling a house fire on 13th Street.

The fire was first noticed around 10:30 a.m. when neighbors spotted smoke coming from the home at 456 13th St. No one was home at the time, and firefighters managed to rescue two dogs inside the burning home.

Firefighters said the roof has been destroyed by the fire. There have been numerous remodeling jobs done to the house, making it difficult for firefighters to get on top of the fire to extinguish it.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
