In regard to David E. Jensen's letter (Readers' Forum, Jan. 15): The people of Utah do not want more land locked up as "wilderness." We do have a beautiful state and we need to protect our land. We have laws to do so. We also have many people who make their living from oil, gas, mining and ranching. It does not hurt my view of nature to see an oil well or a mine. A "wilderness" designation discriminates against people who are older, disabled or who otherwise could not even see Utah's beauties without a road or a motorized vehicle.
