Your movie critic gave "National Treasure: Book of Secrets" a rating of two stars out of four, suggesting the film has a few goofy thrills. He then says, "but we've seen most — if not all — of this done better before." He may be partly right, but his assessment clearly doesn't reflect the general public's view. "National Treasure" has had the highest box office receipts three weeks running, with total-to-date receipts of $170 million. For a huge number of people, the film is thoroughly enjoyable because it's filled with adventure, excitement, fascinating places to see, intriguing story line, empathetic cast and humor. Most important, the movie is just plain fun.
