Molly is a gorgeous 7-year-old long-haired dilute calico who had to be shaved because she was very matted when she came to us. This sweet and affectionate girl was adopted from our shelter in 2000, so we're sad that she's back here looking for a forever family. Her adoption fee is $65.

Frank is a friendly and fun little 2-year-old Schnauzer who just needs to be groomed to be beautiful. He's cute and mellow and knows how to sit on command. Frank is patient and tolerant, and his adoption fee is $95.

Molly and Frank would like to remind everyone that dogs are required by law to be licensed in each of the jurisdictions we serve, including Salt Lake City. In the unincorporated areas of Salt Lake County, ferrets also must be licensed, and in Herriman City, ferrets and cats must be licensed as well. Pet parents must have their animals licensed by the time they reach 5 months of age, or within 30 days of moving into the area or acquiring a new pet, to avoid a $25 late fee. License fees range from $5 to $35 per year, depending on the jurisdiction, and whether the pet is spayed or neutered or microchipped. Other jurisdictions have their own ordinances and fees, so check with the animal control agency in your area to find out more. Licensed pets who become lost are held longer in our shelter while we try to find their families, and injured pets who are licensed receive emergency medical care. A license is a lifesaver.
