The Utah Symphony & Opera will announce its new CEO Friday at 1 p.m. at Abravanel Hall.
Former CEO Anne Ewers, who left the position early last summer to assume a similar post with Philadelphia's Kimmel Center, is expected to return to Utah to make the announcement.
Ewers, who joined Utah Opera as its general director in 1991, became president of the newly merged Utah Symphony & Opera in 2002.
Utah Opera artistic director Christopher McBeth has been acting CEO in the interim. Utah Symphony music director Keith Lockhart has previously announced his departure at the end of the 2008-09 season.
US&O is currently on a search to find Lockhart's replacement.
