Usana Health Sciences Inc. said Thursday that a Utah court has dismissed a shareholder lawsuit brought against Usana and several of its directors and executives in September.

The plaintiff agreed to dismiss the case after Usana and other defendants filed a dismissal motion.

The lawsuit, filed in 3rd District Court, claimed that several directors and executives breached their fiduciary duties and collected more than $24 million in insider trading of the company's common stock by misrepresenting the company's activities in news releases and in reports to the Securities and Exchange Commission. Among the allegations were claims that the Usana marketing model operated as a pyramid scheme.
